I was called on a Friday afternoon and asked if I wanted to go to Mount Etna on Sunday, I was going to replace another cameraman.
I couldn't say no could I :-)
I loved it, operating myself for a change, I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed it.
It was a really enjoyable shoot, the previous DP had booked all the right kit and we had enough time to do a decent job of it.
The only real problem on the shoot was the fact that Paul & I had spent a day driving around looking for locations and saving
each one in my GPS.
It seemed like a good idea, all I had to do was give the helicopter
pilot the GPS positions and we were on our way there!
Pity the helicopter didn't have GPS -:(
